How Much Planning is Needed Prior to Sprinting?

How do you overcome analysis paralysis? John Harvey Jones advised: “Ready, Fire, Aim”. In describing the reason he said “I’m more interested in speed than direction. Once you get moving, you can veer and tack. But the important thing is, you’re moving”

This can be aptly applied to scrum implementations. We need a plan and we need to get going. But, how much planning do we need to get a scrum implementation started?

The One Impediment that will Kill Agile Transformation

Transformation - Is this the road we take?

What do you need for a successful enterprise agile transformation? According to some texts, you need commitment from the CxO suite and buy in from the guys doing the work.

But, I’ve never seen that work. To go one step further, the bigger the enterprise, the more likely a transformation is to fail. The reason? In a word, the ABOMM.

Electronic Scrum Board vs Physical Scrum Board

As well as being an agile coach and scrum trainer, I’ve also dabbled in software development.
