Scrum Roles

There are only three scrum roles in a Scrum Team. The Product Owner, Scrum Master and Development Team.

The responsibilities of these roles, and the services that each provides to the others, is detailed in the scrum guide.

Invariably though, your implementation of scrum will offer up issues that are not covered in the scrum guide. You'll face real-life scrum problems that won't have been covered in the scrum courses that you attended. That's where this section helps.

You'll find a series of articles centred around each of the roles in scrum. You'll find references to interactions between the roles and solutions to scrum problems that others have faced.

Creating Your Definition of “Done”

The Scrum Guide, while being a model of brevity, devotes an appreciable amount of space to the definition of “Done”. In my travels as a trainer or coach though, I often come across questions about the definition of done.  So, in this article, I’m going to examine it in more depth. I’ll provide some extra detail as well as reasons why your definition of “done” is so important and why you should invest time in creating, and maintaining it.
